Hunter Nitti, a Minnesota-born professional walleye angler, has established himself as a top competitor in the sport. His passion for fishing tournaments began at the young age of 10, driven by the dream of turning professional. By 16, he was competing in Minnesota's most challenging tournaments, gaining valuable experience and preparing for a leap onto the national stage. At 23, Hunter made the significant decision to join the National Walleye Tour—the premier circuit for walleye anglers in the United States. His dedication quickly paid off: in 2024, Hunter achieved four Top 10 finishes and secured the coveted Angler of the Year title.
Beyond tournament success, Hunter dedicates his time to guiding clients at his family-owned resort on Lake Mille Lacs in central Minnesota and works with his father in the family’s waste management business in the Twin Cities. In the winter, he keeps his skills sharp by ice fishing and preparing for the upcoming season. Hunter’s drive to become the best in his field reflects his deep commitment to the sport and his desire to expand his knowledge of the industry. |
